Error in ticket? Dismissed in court?

In a nut shell... we wre hungry. Curfew is 12 at night. Only place open is Wendeys. We eat. Also, I have a tail light out. Dual filiment bulb. Top filiment is out.. so lights work, but blinker/brake light doesnt work (but after examining the bulb, i never placed it back in its socket... so basically no light) Examined light at about 11.30. No auto store open.

Anyways, got two tickets.. "Curfew Violated" and "Defective Equipment- No tail lights" Anyways, one tail light is out, I still have the 3rd, and the pass. side.

Anywas, I still have two tail lights so "NO tail lights" is incorrect..

Also under "Race" they put W (White) when I'm obviously ASIAN.

Will an error like that (or the "No tail lights") have the tickets dismissed in court?

you must still have both side taillights.

He can amend it in court and it likely is the same violation number, and that is all that matters.

Also, the taillight issue is in no way related to the curfew violation. They are seperate violations even though they're written on the same ticket.

Also, the race thing doesn't matter.

Those aren't significant enough errors to have them dismissed.
I don't know what hte penalties are for violating curfew, if they are severe enough (ie, you lose your license for some time) you may wish to go to court and try and get on the judge's good graces, however, if it is just a fine or something, pay it. You were in the wrong, and you don't want to have the judge getting to know you for the first time on something small. He will be less likely to let you off later on something more important (ie, with points).

The tail light you can probably get a fix-it ticket. Call or go in and ask. Many times if you simply fix it, and show them, they will just charge you $30 for wasting their time, and drop the ticket.

In the UK, the only reason why a ticket can be dismissed is if it is incomplete or if the offence is written down completely wrong and you can prove it.
As mentioned previously, ALL lights should be operating at their standard levels.
only having one light when there should be two counts as lights failure.
