96 metro fan won't work

Just brought home a sweet running '96 Metro.

The previous owner took off the AC belt and the fan doesn't work either.

Any suggestions as to reviving the fan so we can defrost etc.

Voltage test show .56 microvolts at the connections. shouldn't this be a lot higher?

0.56 uV = 560nV. Yep nothing will run off that voltage. The voltage should be much higher - not sure exactly what but should at least be in the volts range. Only suggestion would be to inspect the wiring for breaks/shorts and see what can be found.

It's a 12Volt DC system, has to run off of 12 Volts, get a wiring diagram and trace out the system, could be a bad motor on the fan also.

The fan speed control switch assembly could be bad, common thing in Metros. My fan used to only work on the high speed setting. I took out the fan speed control and noticed that the top half of the switch assembly separated from the rest of it not allowing the electrical contacts to touch. It was an easy fix, just wrap two zip ties around it so it can't separate, allowing the contacts to touch when you move the switch. I wish I took pictures when I did it, it would explain alot better.
