96 Tahoe P0175 code

Hey folks, this is my first post. First let me say thanks to the members of this forum for all the great information.
I just put a new fuel pump in my truck and now I am getting a check engine light. The code is P0175 and if I recall P0172. I may be wrong on the second code. Whatever it was it says the left and right bank is too rich. The only other thing I changed in the truck was the rotor button. I did this when it first died on me because a friend suggested it and the old fuel pump was still coming on. Turns out it wasn't giving me enough presure.
When I first installed the fuel pump she ran fine but a day later I got a rough idle and a check engine light.
I appreciate any help.

Fiest thing get a fuel pressure gauge on it and make sure fuel pressure is at specs with no fast leak downs.
Post back what engine and fuel pressure readings.

I think I might have a pinched return line to the fuel tank. I'm almost out of gas so I will check that out this afternoon. Some of what I have been reading makes me think that this could be the problem.
My friend that helped me put the fuel pump in admits he thinks the line looked a little kinked when we put the tank back up.:shakehead

That might do it but it would still be a good idea to run a fuel pressure test.
And do not run it low on fuel or under 1/4 tank.
people that do replace a lot more fuel pumps thaan the ones that keep gas in there tanks.

OK we dropped the tank and discovered that the line was bent all to hell. I replaced the kinked lines with some rubber fuel line. I put the tank back in place, reconnected the battery and now she runs smooth. It seems like the lines they put on at the plant are just shrink tubing of some kind. Once it gets kinked it tends to stay that way.
On the drive home no problems. No check engine light, and no rich fuel smell.
I will report back if it acts up again.
