FWD and AWD suspensions are different... Sorry, no swap...

BTW, you need to post new threads in the correct subforums... People are strict about that around here.

Your IAC (Idle air controller) is bad.

If its the right price, I need a new reliable daily driver.

its a 96 talon tsi awd with a 91 6bolt in it with a big 16g stage 2 turbo ,adjustable eibach suspension ,half assed roll cage , full 3"hks exhaust, boost and oil gauge in center air vent , lightweight fly wheel,2600 lb clutch but needs a pressure plate, and aparently an IAC... it was previously a 12 second 1/4 mile race car but the guy i bought it from took the apexi turbo controller ,pyro gauge , greddy rs blow off valve,18 inch rims and his fmic and his ingen air control intake system so i think i got hosed on that one because now i have to get it to run or sell it??? i dont know???

All 2g suspension is interchangeable. The spring perches are at different points since the ride heights differ, but with coil overs or other means to adjust height this is a non issue. I ran a suspension from a non turbo 2g on my GSX for a long time. The shocks and springs were too soft for the extra weight of the AWD turbo car though, so you may want to consider wether or not it will be worth the effort.

I learned something tonight... Kevin, you need to take me under your wing and teach me the ways of the DSM. lol

the eibach's that are on it are fully adjustable coil over set up where you can change height and soft or stiffness

You may eventually want to change the springs, since the shocks alone won't provide the adjustment you need. The good thing is that being Eibach coilovers, they probably use standard diameter eibach springs, so it's an easy swap if you feel the need to do it. I ran 450 front 325 raer on my 2g awd, but if the eibachs hocks can handle it you want to go stiffer. Maybe you could find out what springs are on it now (should be printed on the spring), they may be decent.

I was under the impression that fwd's used mcphersons and awds used sla but I guess they are both sla?

Yup, only the 1G used macpherson strut type suspension. The 3g and EVO went back to this style too AFAIK.

Shit.... too far for me or anyone I know, but I tell you what, if you were like 300-400 miles closer I would be on your doorstep in the morning with 2 grand in my hand. I guess one money pit is enough .
