Engine Swap suggestions?

I have a 94 Accord LX Automatic. I am looking to replace the engine and transmission to something with a little more guts but keep it automatic. Is it possible to get a V-tec work with auto? As you can tell I am very new to this so any info will be helpful, thanks :)
