Yeah, long title....
Well this guy is finally done. I got it completed just in time for the 80's contest over on AF. Hopefully I place well with it. There are several firsts with this car. One of which was the decals. I used the wetworks sheet for this car and I simply loved them. Easy to work with and laid down great! This was the first time I REALLY used PE parts. The hood hinges, seatbelts, and brake rotors. All of which are detail master (are the MCG seatblet and hood hinge kits easier to work with?). This is also the first time I opened a trunk and hinged it as well as the first time I've done lug studs. The details seem endless on this thing. Notice the rear window braces? I would like to thank anyone and everyone who helped me out with this, a big thanks goes out to Dave he provided a lot of help. As did Matt Conte. Matt was able to straighten out my oiling and fuel system for me. Well enjoy the pictures, ask questions and leave comments AND Criticisms, thats the only way we learn!

thanks guys. there are some areas that I am unhappy with. The front spoiler could have been painted a little better. The hood and trunk hinges were a bear. as were the seatbelts. I wish I had the money on hand to buy all of the Detail master fittings, instead of constructing my own. The fuel filler and all that jazz would have been nice too. I wish I had had more time to spend in the trunk, sourcing the proper size tubing and spending a little more time on the fittings to the tank. But all in all, this being my most detail oriented build to date. I am really happy with it.
Kind of a side story here. When I was younger before I could even dream of EXTREME DETAIL I would go to the movie store with my dad and look at all of the modelling magazines. I remember seeing an ernie irvan texaco ride featured one time. I asked my dad, "How do they do all of that, it is amazing" It is really awesome to look back then, and look at where I am now. Lol, but thats uninteresting.
