I have a 1994 cav. My daughter ran it out of oil and the car just shut down. I put oil in it then cranked it over and it cranks over fine and does not sound like there is anything wrong. Now I cant get it to fire. I was told that there might be a censor in it to shut it down when you loose oil pressure. If there is one where is it and can it be changed or do you have to have the electrical system reset. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think you have lost compression by the loss of oil.It didnt seize, but it did damage it.Do a compression check.
