I was goin to go with the Linksys Wireless N router but a couple friends of mine says Netgear is much better. I would imagine that they're all the same ? Any suggestions? This is for my new sony vaio laptop...built in wifi already. So any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.

it doesn't disconnect as much. when i had the linksys, my wireless would constantly disconnect. although it'd connect right back up, sometimes that puase would ruin downloads or something. got annoying.

also, the netgear iver been getting a better signal. although i just got a new comp, my old one is surprisingly acting better with the internet.

I bought 2 cards. One for me and my dad. It works really great. 356.00 TOTAL at Fry's Electronics. It was on sale today and so I couldn't really pass it up.

I've had the best luck with NetGear stuff. I use a lot of computers at my work (net tech at a university) with external cards and it seems that the cheaper cards just don't get as good a range....

We use Foundry acess points so I haven't fiddled with wireless routers, but I would imagine the same would go for Netgear being better. But for casual browsing and whatnot, I haven't really had any problems with Linksys stuff :)
