OK, I figured out where all the screws are at to remove the dash board so that I can remove the radio, but the dash board does not seem to budge when I pull on it. Is there a secret? How about the knobs like the 4wd, do they need to be removed? Any pics on the web?

You have to drop the lower dashboard (the part that covers the steering column). When you do you will see two screws/bolts that secure the bottom of the trim to the instrument cluster. Also make sure you remove the screw that is next to the cigarette lighter.
Once you have everything out the trim should come out with gentle pulling. You may have to lower the steering whell and shift the gear into neutral to get clearance. After you get this off, the radio is a snap.
Hope this helps.

Pukka, It does not come out that easy. I know were all the screws are amd I have gotten the bottom off by the sterreing wheel. Ther seesm to be some type of clips holding it in place around the radio. I was told that maybe i need to use a dash trim tool or hook tool to unclip. Anyone know where the clips are?

You got the screw by the cig. lighter? I always seemed to forget that one and then two by the dash cluster and then there is 2 or 3 under the panel below the steering wheel. Then you can just pull and the dash will pop out... You can unplug all the connections to the rear wiper, 4x4, headlight controls and so on... I normall just flip it around to the pass seat so I dont have to unhook the cig lighter and 12 volt wires.

KGaugh1805,
I was afraid of breaking the clips since I did not know what they looked like. I used a hook tool and pulled the trim away starting in the lower right hand corner. Thanks for the tips.

I had the same problem but i was too stubborn to ask for help. i got everything off and i pulled the 6-disc cd player out. I pulled two of the connectors off the back but there is still one wire conected. it looks like its for the antenna not sure though cause it wont come out or at least im not pulling hard enough. Anyone know how to dissconect it?
