Car won't start, new starter/alternator/battery

 I have a 2003 Taurus that won't start. I thought it was the starter so I took it out and went and got it checked out, they said it was a bad starter so I bought a new one. Installed the new starter and car still won't start. But I've noticed after I try to start the car the lights on the dashboard flicker along w/a clicking noise coming from the fuse box, to the right of the battery.

Should I just change the fuse that is clicking and hopefully that will solve the problem?

Or is there something else??

First, check the connections at the battery. If they are corroded, clean them up with a wire brush. If they are loose, tighten them down. If neither of those work, have the battery checked out. Sounds to me like you have a battery issue. Good luck.

Take it out and have a parts store test it for a bad cell which kills the battery. One minute it's good, next minute it won't do zip and the only cure for a bad cell is a new battery. When you install a new battery the comptuer has to re-learn itself, so if it runs rough at first don't worry about it. There's a procedure in the owners manual you should read.

Thanx guys,
Turns out it was a bad battery, I took it to get it tested and it couldn't hold a charge. That surprised me because it was only 3 years old, plus it's Motorcraft which is more higher quality. I figured somehow either the battery killed the starter or vice versa b/c the starter was bad too.
