Thought I would share my problem and the fix. The problems were, front windshield wiper would sometimes work, rear windshield wiper would work, dome lights would sometimes work, and the radio would sometimes work along with several other problems. The reason was that the front windshield has a leak that is very common on this truck and it is not visible on the windshield. It runs in behind the driver dash and drips on the GEM module. The GEM module controls several electrical things in the truck. I removed the GEM module that is behind the driver fuse block and replaced it with a used one from a junk yard, $50. The numbers on the GEM module, which I think there are 3 sets, all had to match. I got the GEM module out of an Eddie Bauer and mine is an XLT, so that must not matter. I also removed the front windshield gasket, put a fat bead of silicone around where the gasket sits and squished the gasket back in and held it in place with wide masking tape so it would push out. Let that sit over night and never had another problem again. I did take the old module apart and found where water had been standing in it along with corrosion. I would like to thank the people of this site and the very smart techs that contribute to the problems that we face with our vehicles. I have used this sight for over a year and this is my second post. I read alot of the threads to find the answers to my problems. I don't like for people to have to repeat themselves just because I didn't take the time to READ through the forums. Thanks again.
Until the next problem.
