Hello,
I am doing some research on the Phantom Grip Limited slip differntial, it is to be used on a FWD application. I would like to hear from anyone who has tried or have know people who have tried this product and know the outcome.

Would also like to know what you have came to conclusion about the product and if you have installed one yourself.

Cheers
Zapf

Thanks :)

From what Iv heard they are not really worth the money, and work by simply puting the spider gears under increased pressure.
This donst provide a true LSD effect, and will only prevent slip on one wheel not both. So they will work to a limited extend in a straight line, but will only work half the time when cornering.

From what I understand simply shimming up the spider gears so they are closer together will have almost exactly the same effect.
Steelie gears in Aucland did this for me on an old Triumph, it worked extremly well in a straight line and on left hand corners, but the diff was still open when turing right. Its also a common mod to many pre 65 race cars, when class rules revent them running an LSD.

But what sort of car are you planning on doing this two?
Most Japa's will have a factory LSD you can retro fit.
Otherwise it means spending some money on a Quife unit.
