2000 z71 5.3 Rough shifting

Truck is starting to shift real rough between 1st and 2nd. Getting whiplash.
It seems to do it after the truck has been running and had time to heat up..Anybody had this problem?

Should be scanned on on a trans capable scanner to look at the pcs for adapative shift percentages, the solenod could be sticking causing high line pressure and hard shifts.

If it has a code P1870 stored, there is a TSB on it.
P1870 is trans slippage. Anytime the computer detects slippage, it raises line pressure to max, and shortens all the shifts to save the transmission, but only for that run cycle.
You say it only occurs after running warmed up, so I think the bulletin applies to you.
There is a problem with excessive fluid leakage in the torque converter clutch circuit of the valve body. The bulletin gives the number to a replacement valve body. Ask your dealer to look it up.

Go easy on them TSB"s You can drive yourself crazy on all of them.
