Tireburner,
This is for you!!!!!!!!
1997 Chevy Tahoe, I purchased the truck only had one remote. So I bought another on e-bay at 1/10th the price ( new in the package)
I tried to program the remote with the jumpers. Well it didnt work. I put in new batteries and tried the current remote and I was able to reprogram the old one but the new one woudnt work.I then went to the dealer to buy another and it to wouldnt program. I then found out that I have an aftermarket Security put in by the dealer .(Executive VIP 4000) ( made by Omega research ). This is a " plug into existing computer " set-up. I called the manufacture @ the alarm and they said it is a chevy problem and sent me the manual.....Chevy sais it is a alarm company problem............... Do you see my delema?
the security system auto locks and has locked me out once allready
Please help
