i'm thinking about buying a s14 with a LSD, and i've already read the drifting thread but i'm still not sure if haveing a LSD will impact daily driving such as turns at lower speeds at what not or turns at moderate speeds. this will be my first mannual and RWD car so any thing helps. Thanks

No the LSD will be fine. The one that comes factory in the S14 chassis is the VLSD (viscous limited slip differential). It has viscous fluid in it. When you're just daily driving the fluid is inert and therefore it acts as an open differential (which is basically just a car without a differential). When you tramp on the accelorator and torque is applied, the viscous fluid reacts to the torque, and expands to lock the two rear wheels so that they spin together.
Basically, as long as your tires arent about to break loose, your car will drive as iff you have no LSD on it. the moment you tramp on it, the LSD kicks in and locks your wheels.
Now on another note, the car is going to be close, if not over, 10 years old, so the fluid may be broken down or not as strong as it should be. at this point you'd either need to replenish your fluid or upgrade the LSD. if you decide to upgrade, get a hellical version ;).
Hope this helps.

youre thinking of a welded diff, as far as turns at slow speeds. an lsd will take care of that for you a welded diff is always locked... like 1 revin silvia said.. it (the lsd) acts like an open diff with normal driving, so daily driving with it wont be affected (until you slam it to the floor) :evillol:
