Well what can i say, im not far off from finishing 4runner broke timing belt (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=526066) but i got rather stupid question :uhoh: i might miss located (mix them up)most of my shim holders or whatever u call it due to lack of space in my 4runner :screwy:

here comes my question, looking from the front (radiator side) first valve would be intake, right? and then exhaust, intake, exhaust etc right?
While doing valve adjustment i have to place installed cam sprockets in position of 12' o’clock, 4' o’clock and 8'oclock to get possible valve clearance right?, which valves would correspond to mentions o' clocks?

I have done valve adjustments many times before but never with v6 , especially with shim design but hey im all ears, thanks in advance:)

Need to start with shim installed to get the first measurement then do the math, hint: the V6 is a clicky motor so getting these as close to spec is critical.
Take a quick look at the FSM for the procedure and order of adjustment.
Make absolutely sure the shims and the cup they sit in are clean.
