Hello all, I was wondering if you all could help me out with a problem, my Dad's friend's 93 Astro Van's air compressor motor went out and was wondering if there is any other vehicles that you can pull the compressor motor off and itll swap straight into the astro van. I thought I saw on here somewhere that someone used an 80s Firebird compressor motor, but are there any more that can be used? Thanks alot

welcome on your first post of AF.
I asume you are asking about the air cond compresser.
Depending on what compresser a lot of other GM compressers will fit. But it will have to be the same kind or you have match them up.
A salvage yard has a interchange book that tells you what ones will fit.
But if the compresser is blowed a lot of times they throw small parts and plastic and metal shavings threw out the air cond system.
Known as black death.
The system will need to be flushed and cleaned when you install another compresser.
And if the old system is still R-12 freon you need to be air cond certified to open or pump it out.
After the R-12it has been pumped out by a certified air cond person.
You can work on it or change over to R134-A freon.
But do the proper change over.
Here is some stuff you will need to recharge it.

It would be hard to find a good used one and read my first post on replacement.
