I just combined an rx8 with and is300 bumper looks hot on it, currently adding carbon fiber hood with 3-d pattern but it doesn't seem to want to work, if anyone has tips on this feel free to share.

i think its not blended in enough (example, the headlights look a little rough)

the fog lights look a little rough on the edges too. you also gotta pay attention to the backround. the shadow on the floor has to be extended to look like the body part is really on it.
how did u combine the bumper so nicely? i see you have a part of glare from the first pic while also having some glare on the second pic. what im pointing out is on the left of the headlight near the fender. you combined both glares (or u can call it shine or reflextion). how did u do it? and how did u match the color of the car so nicely?

Yeah, I had the old headlights behind there that I had to edit out, I haven't mastered the stamp tool yet so I still do it free hand with the dropper, I recreated those lines, the lighting was a little different in the two pics so it was tough to do the headlights.
Thinks for the tips

in terms of the color, its not perfect but its pretty close. When ever I used a part from a different car I desaturate it (removes all the old color) Then I used combinations of image - adjust - color balance, image - adjust - hue(hue/sat, but specifically hue). Then I go back to color balance and mess with that again. then I will also go to image - adjust - brightness/ contrast, to make the light or dark mach, you can do that first if you want.
in terms of colors they are easiest to match if you desaturate both bumper and car first then make a new color but I decided to chalenge myself to see if I could match it, It was all trial and error.
The glare that moves along the wheel well near the left light I got lucky on. I started using the eraser to blend, and I erased the bumper and exposed the original bumper and the way I did it just happened to follow the original glare and it looked hot, so I just did some minor adjustmets to clean up the lines with the dropper and brush.
Where the hood meets the bumper I extended the glare with the dropper and paintbrush, just by selecting the color and making it lighter.
In terms of the bumper being combined once again trial and error. When you drag or copy and past the bumper from another car there are a few things you can do to adjust it. I just learned these techniques from bryce's tutorial. make sure the bumper layer is selected and then you can use
edit - transform - scale, scew, distort, or rotate
scale makes bigger, scew twists (actually really helpfull), distort stretches, and rotate turns so it ligns up right.
thanks for the shadow tip, I didn't even realize the shadow, I'm not sure how to make the shadows look real, I'll have to mess with that.

anyway, thanx rob. that glare worked out really cool and i think the colors between the car and the bumper match perfectly. i actually have experience on photochoping. check out some of my posts :)
