Theft system

I will start from the begining. Last wensday my car started then stalled out with the theft system being triggered. So i started it and let it stall out leaving the key in the on position waited 5- 10 min then turned it off and restarted the car. It fired up and ran fine so i went to work. After work it fired up and ran fine and the next day it was fine. It sat most of the weekend then monday night after work it did the same thing. So I tried the same thing i did the first time only that didnt work. I noticed that the theft system light was still blinking even with the key off and out of the ignition. So i pop the hood and disconnect the battery wait 5 min and reconnect. Light goes off car starts and runs. I get 2 min down the road and light comes back on and has stayed on since but car still starts and runs fine. Now i just want the light to go off if anyone has had this problem or has this problem plz let me know what you have done to fix it.
