Sup guys,
I was having a little trouble figuring out what is wrong with my drivers side front seat. The whole left quarter seems like its broken?!? the seat doesn't have support like it should.... i think it might be the seats inner shell but i was wondering what you all thought about it and how i should fix it...
Thx
Rob

Left quarter? Not sure what you mean here.
Is the seat shifting on it's base? There are 4 bolts that hold it to the floorpan. If the floorpan itself is shifting you have more than a seat issue.
Is the seat itself sagging? Example: on my wife's 99, the driver's seatback on the right side eventually gave up from people getting in/out and rocking against that side of the seat. We replaced it.

Yea the seat support kind of gave out from people getting in and out but on mine it was the left side...i was wondering if i could just replace the bottom of the seat or do i have to replace the whole seat??

I know there's a way to refurbish or rebuild a seat, but I've never done it. Your best bet might be a junkyard seat....the one I bought was about $130.

It depends on what's really wrong. My driver's seat leans back a bit too far. Turns out that the welds on the frame have broken and the rear part of the seat cushion is resting directly on the structure. You'll need to remove the seat and have agood look underneath the see what's going on.
I'll have to remove the entire seat cushion and take it to a shop to weld the crossmembers back on.
