hello again,

what do you guys use to filter brake fluid that has been used?
do you put the filtered fluid back into the oringial bottle or place the used fluid in another container to be used again?

thanks guys once again for your guidance.

I use lady's nylon to get the paint chunks out before putting it back in my car's brake reservior.

Just kidding!

I don't bother reusing brake fluid. As caustic as it is, I find it a liability to keep around any longer than I have to. Once the body is stripped, I get rid of it, and get a new bottle if have to strip another car.

Although I havent tried brake fluid yet mate, I would say that you could filter it through a nylon stocking or a fine mesh cloth. Then save it in a new container for us on any other body parts that you might want to strip..I would also suggest you check which types of container to store it in IF your saving it for a long period.

As inexpensive as it is, just dispose of it correct at a auto parts place or service station.

Or skip the brake fluid alltogether. There are plenty of other options that work as well or better, are much safer on plastic, and are not a toxic/hazardous substance.
