I have a 92 3.3 AWD and i am getting 16 MPG city. This seems really low to me. What kind of mileage are you guys with similar vans getting? I used to get 13.5 to 14 but after changing the o2 sensor i now get 16. Any ideas what to check for next?

We have a 1998 Town & Country LX AWD with 3.8L V6. My wife averages about 17 mpg around town. On the open road, it gets about 20 to 22 depending on sustained vehicle speed, terrain and A/C usage. The AWD vehicles average approximately 1 mpg less than equivalent FWD vehicles due to the extra drive train components. Our old 1989 Grand Caravan 3.0L averaged about 22 mpg on the highway, too. I hope this helps.

I have a '03 Caravan with a flex 3.3L and it gets about 17.5 mpg with 60% city and 40% highway with my wife driving. When i drive it, it get about 4 mpg better. To increase mileage, I am going to try adding 1 to 3 ounces of acetone per 10 gallons of gas. I am going to start with 2 ounces beacuse mileage will suffer if you use too much.

I have used Acetone in my '00 GCaravan 3.8l for about 9 months and get only 1-2 mpg better.
1 to 1 1/2 oz for 10 gal seemed to work best. It didn't get any better adding more, mileage dropped back to same as w/o acetone. The engine does run smoother with acetone and has more power a lower throttle settings, up to about 1/2 throttle. Didn't notice any difference at WOT with or w/o actetone.
I also use Acetone in my '98 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l. The Acetone increased mpg 2-3 mpg and seems to increase power significantly at low throttle settings. The engine runs so much smoother w/acetone that you would think it wasn't the same engine if you drove it before/after. I run 2oz per 10gal for the Jeep.
I also run 2oz per 10 gal in my lawn mower. It increases the power and it runs 40min per tank vs 30min per tank. The blackened muffler has slowly lightend to a light rust color. I assume it is burning much cleaner is why.
Recently tried it in my 2-stroke weed eater. Stupid thing has always been really hard to start, now it starts on the first or second pull warm or cold.
Engineers will say that the Acetone is insignificant as far as altering the chemistry of gas. Maybe on paper it shouldn't work but it does, go figure.
