I have a 2006 Wrangler I4. Was checking the oil and other fluids like the good girl I am and hubby noticed my brake fluid was low. Went out to eat. Came home and I was sitting on the steps eye level with my back tire and I noticed it looked as if something oily had splashed on the frame. I told hubby to climb under there and look to see if it was brake fluid and he said yes. Come to find out the brake line was not flanged correctly and had started leaking. This Jeep never gave me a clue that something was wrong. It always stopped perfect. It happened all of a sudden. I just want everyone with '06 Wranglers to beware. I had to drive it to the dealership downshifting and using my E brake.

Nice pick up on the brake fluid leak. Sometimes you don't find out about stuff like that until after the accident.
Shows it does pay to check your fluids!

Yeah, sometimes new vehicles do have their problems. We discovered our 04Rubicon leaking transmission fluid when it was brand new. But that is good you caught it, that could have turned out bad if you didn't catch it and got going and found out you had no brake fluid.
