The front end doesn't have the same appeal as the 916.
Its kind of fugly. But, the design may grow on me over time.

I will have to concur with Kennedy here... That's not exactly the most lovely design, and I rather hope it doesn't grow over time. When I pinpoint what it is that I don't like about it, then I'll post back...

Some more thoughts...
The plastic on the tail doesn't to go very far back. THey are counting on the exhaust to fill in the space that used to be pastic.
The lowers look friggin huge. It starts at the front tire and goes past the rear tire. This makes the bottom ofthe bike look bulky. And, there arent any vents on the side. The lowers look like huge pieces of plastic.
The upper looks odd because of the stacked headlights not using a common lense AND the stacked air vents. It looks like the computer designer made a cool headlight and air intake design, copyed it, moved his cursor up 6 inches and pasted it in.

yup i think the older model looks better. plus it may be the last single sided swing arm model that will come out which is why im holding on to my 748r. although the new ones will all have the testasreta engine - 749 and the 999.
