I Jump the pressure switch. Start the truck and put the fan on high and ac switch on max cold. Compressor will not run. I bump the clutch on the compressor with a flash light and it engages and starts to cool (touch cold on the accumulator). I then turn off the ac in the cab. The compressor stops, as expected. I wait about a minute and turn the ac controls on again and the same thing happens. Compressor will not run unless I bump the clucth assembly on the compressor. Whats going on?
Thanks

Check the air gap on the clutch.
Not sure what the specs are but around .015-.025" with out rubbing anyplace would get it.
If it is good look for a lose connection or bad coil in compresser clutch.

Sounds like a buggy low pressure switch.
