Hey All,

Saturday night I got my first taste, but only as a passenger in Jason's car. That was fun but next time I wanna drive. I got the whole thing on video so as soon as I find someone who can convert it to MPEG (or whatever), I'll get Jason to put it up on G20.net. I also met Dominik (did I spell that right?) aka Dprotech, cool guy, cool car. He's got the front side splitters on which look really nice even though they weren't painted yet. Looking forward to the next track day.

Looking forward to the next track day.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. It's very intoxicating and very addicting. Which circuit were you on? I attended the Spenard-David Racing School there in '89. :)

Hope you get out behind the wheel next time.

Did you happen to meet James McColl? He drives a black NX2000.

Geo, it was the Fabi circuit. Just a fun little course. Shumacher was there too with his SE-R. I got a ride in that, damn its setup nice! He started losing his concentration near the end and spun it off the course. Covered us both in dirt. :)

I don't know how exciting that video will be? I was driving on my stock wheel/tires but the suspension felt better than it had before. Those suspension tweeks i made felt like them made a nice difference. My breaks were dying by the end though.

I took the video using a regular VHS camera. I'm getting my cousin to convert it to file so you guys can see Jason's car in action.

Joe

P.S. Geo, it was James who delivered me the springs I bought from you.

LOL!

If I remember right, the Fabi circuit is the one at the front of the track with the up hill between turns one and two?

I think short courses can be fun for lapping days. They are easier to learn and thus more fun for someone just learning the ropes. The track at the SE-R convention this year was just such a track and I think it was more fun because of being easier to learn.

Oops. :)

Sorry Joe. For some reason I didn't connect you with your screen name.

Anyway, James should be able to hook you up in Toronto with a DET if you decide to go for it. :D

Nope its at the back and is pretty flat.

Ah, OK. That's the one with the hairping and the looooong straight after it. I never got the entrance to that hairpin right (which killed my speed down the straight). The braking is done all the way out to the edge of the track, but I always finished braking early and turned in too soon.

Actually all of Shannonville is pretty damned flat. :) The other small circuit (Nelson is it?) just has that slight up hill between 1 and 2 IIRC.

Yeah that's it but I always called them hairpins! ;) I'm one to talk my spelink is tareible. Actually I think they use that straight for drag racing too.

Yeah that corner is a real killer. They've done some repairs to that corner and there is patch of concreate there now just as you're exiting. It sounded really funny when I was coming...make that squeeling...out of the corner. I got a funky two tone squeel. Squeeeeeel Squwaaaaack eeeeeeeel. Potenza RE92's suck. :D

Not sure about the other layouts. I've only ever been on Fabi circuit.
