Hi,
I own a 1991 Toyota Corolla and I am having a problem with the car wherein whenever it rains the car runs fine for some time; but when the car is at a complete stop and I press the gas pedal to accelerate, the car jerks and then shuts off.
I then have to put the car in P and restart the car. This problem so far only occurs in wet weather, all other times the car runs fine. I taught the problem was a bad battery, but having replaced it with a new battery I still have the problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Bob

How are the cap, rotor, and wires? The problem you note is most often seen in these components if related to wet weather.
