Got bored and did some polishing...

Just as it says... I polished my Greddy 18g and GM maf sensor today and I am very pleased with the results. I also included the rest of my stuff in the picture just as a tease.

All I have left to buy is the rest of my internals and then I can get my shit together. :naughty:

I'm hoping all this polished stuff will look good under my hood but I'm still wondering one thing... What color should my alternate underhood color be? I don't wanna have a typical looking engine bay, hence the reason I'm polishing so much stuff. Think I should just stick to red, chrome, and black? Or should I do something like just Chrome and black everything?... I really would like opinions and ideas for my car. What exactly would you guys like to see done to my car? :)

I can't wait to have this turbo on my car. :)

The MAF sensor was all rusted and corroded when I bought it.

looks good. Chrome / Black would be sexy

just a word of advice, don't use that BOV. I used the H34 (same thing exactly but without the horn) and it leaked at idle and boost very bad. No matter how many washers I put in it, even the bigger spring from turboxs couldn't stop it from leaking. If you take it apart you'll see it's a metal / metal contact (the piston) and that just can't stop air from leaking.

But if I weld a lip on the bottom and stick an o-ring in there that won't help either?

it doesn't just leak at the intercooler flange, it leaks mostly on the outlet. Even if you did stop the leaks the BOV doesn't open properly under low boost situations. It will surge badly if you let off the throttle under vac or up to 3-4 psi. I tried everything, then said fuck it, and bought a greddy. No problems since. It's up to you of course, but I wouldn't want the bottleneck in performance.

By the way, what manifold and wastegate are those?

Well if it doesn't work right then I'll go with a super sequential instead... I'll give it a shot and see how it works out.

**EDIT**
I just had a thought. Did you oil the shaft and piston before you used it?

yeah the SSQV + recirculation kit is a nice BOV. Good luck getting it to work properly.

Oh I'm not gonna be recirculating it. lol

Whats wrong with my afc/maft setup thor?
