how many miles were on the motor? Or did you rebuild it

Are you sure? measured crank play? I've seen plenty of cases where it turned out to be something else.

I'm not totally sure but I kind of assumed so once the clutch stuck to the floor. Basically what happened was that I was driving to go visit my granpa in the "home" and I get on the high way and everything is cool untill I shift into 5th and go to about 75 and then I noticed this weird jerking, kind of like trying to boost with a boost leak, and it got progressivle worse so I pulled over at a rest stop and everything looked ok and it reved fine but once there was a load it ran like crap. I decided to turn around at the next over pass and by the time I got there there was no throttle responce and I had to feather it to keep it running. As I'm on my way home it dies so I start it back up and I have to play the throttle to get past 2k every once in a while it would get up to 5k or so and I'd quick put it in gear and get to 40 and then have to coast untill I could do it again. I got back to town about when I got in the clutch started to stick to the floor and I made it about a mile away from my house when it gave out. There was about 65k on the motor. Oh and brian, if you want to buy my wheels I'll sell them to you.

Look under your driver side floor mat, rub your hand all over that area behind the pedals and such. Is there a wet spot?

No wet spot. My plan it to diagnose the problem and if it needs a rebuild its stroker time

yeah it doesn't really sounds like CW, sounds like a broke clutch

There isnt any problem with the car moving though the problem is it wont stay running. When I can get it to actually rev and let the clutch out the goes like a bat out of hell but I can go WOT and it will stay at 700 rpm. If I let it idle after a few seconds of spitting missing and poping it will stablize around 1500rpm but as soon as I hit the gas there is nothing. I know its not the clutch.
EDIT: At high rpms it runs good, best launches that I've had(Had to let the clutch out at 5k to keep it going)

I don't think it's CW. Usually when that happens, if you drive it and put even the slightest amount of stress on the motor, the crank will "walk" and knock out the crank sensor, which in turn kills the whole car. Definitely measure crank end play before tearing too deep into anything.

put a new set of plugs in and then run the car for a bit. Take them out and see if they're white or black. Sounds like something in the drivetrain broke and took something else with it. Is the timing belt still on really tight? even when the car is off? What about all the other belts?

Check your fuel pressure. The stumbling and 700 rpm at WOT sounds fuel related. Make sure you're getting enough pressure and then check the injectors.

I talked to brian and wwe compaired symptoms from when his cw'd to mine and they pretty much line up. I know its not something in the drive train, like I said before the motor wont run at low rpm at high its fine and its even better moving. I know what its like to have a drivetrain failure and this is nothing like it. There isnt any problem moving, moving is the easy part, its keeping the motor running in nuetral that isnt easy

Oh man, Scott, that fuckin licks balls. Its too bad you dont have a 1g with a 6 bolt, never have to worry about CW ;). Just playin man, I shouldnt take a shot at you when you just CW'd your shit. It doesnt sound like CW to me either, but I've never had to learn about that before. My Talon was running like that on 3 cylinders when I bent those two valves, kinda stumbling all over in the lower RPMS but it would run at higher RPMs. Mine wouldnt run hardly at all on the 3 cylinders though, it barely idled and that was at like 300 rpms.

Well I didnt think it was either but what makes me think it is the fact that A. the clutch sunk to the floor and B. For the last few weeks every time I push in the clutch there was a clunking noise. But I guess we wont know for sure untill I check it. Oh and Thor, at least I didnt bend 18 valves :owned:
