AC & Temp display

The display for temp control and temperature is nopt showing on my 95 Aurora. It has been, doing this for a while. It normally comes on later while I'm driving. Last night I was coming home from a trip, and it was working. I stopped to fill up with gas, and it never came home, and I was on the road for 3 hrs. Is there a fuse that operates it, or would it be in the computer?

Did you ever fix this or figure it out?

Mine fixed itself. I haven't had any more problems with it. However there are times when the temp will kick up to 90 for some reason, but other than that I haven't had any other probelms. Good luck with yours.
Now it's the instrument panel shorting out. I goes on and off, with no instruments or display in the DIC. This weekend it went spastic on me. Then again this morning, then he Service Engine came on. The dealers around here can't check it. They want to take out the cluster and send to CA. However I do have a guy I go to church with who owns an auto electric shop. Hopefully they can find the problem. All fuses, and relays have been changed. Oh well, maybe I will find something out soon.

That sounds fun. Mine would do that also, but the car would die too. You never knew when it would happen. It took me weeks to figure out. It was the ignition switch. I replaced the switch and the wiring harness as it comes all together. Never had anymore trouble with it since...

So in other words, you had a problem with your panel and it was the ignition switch? I guess it makes since. Is there anyway, an auto electric guy can tell for sure if that is it? How did you find it?

My car would just die, stop running! At any random time while driving down the road. It was awful. Sometimes it would start right back up, other times it would take 10-15 minutes. Very sporadic. You would also lose all instument lights, guages etc... But the radio and I think temp controls still worked. I eventually got all the wiring schematics and diagrams off Alldata.com. I finally found out that I had +12 volts going up to the ignition but not coming back out to make a long story short. They have like 14 gauge wires that carry all this current through little tiny contact point in the ingition switch. It was no wonder it did this. It was terrible to trouble shoot. Luckily I have a degree in electronics to help me. There was no way I would take this problem to a dealer and let them bend me over!
