So, received my Pioneer Premier P8DVD from Showrides on Friday, modified my truck dash on Saturday and installed...

That "Dakota" slideout cup holder just so happened to be the EXACT size of a single DIN cage :). Also, the dash is WIDE OPEN behind it!

Pimpin, I love it! The P8DVD is a dead head, has RCA audio out that inputs into my 9835. All volume and processing is handled by my Alpine 9835. :)

Yes, huge difference in imaging, response, and midbass output.

what's in the pod ....... looks like an 8". And yes, for midbass - the ONLY thing that matters is pathlength difference for imaging/staging. So your only choices are ..... far forward and down in the front door, the kick panel, the front floor or firewall, etc. If you keep the upper crossover point low enough, then maybe in the back - sometimes it works.

Other than the door pods, and about $80 in deadening...

Everything in there can be utilized in another vehicle... or sold.

Also, the truck runs smooth as hell. It's just the paint on the exterior that makes it look like a POS... which I don't mind... since it makes it more unassuming.
