Here it is, By the way, I suppose I ought to introduce myself, names Dan, I'm 16 but I've been building models since I was about 7 or 8. I mostly like to build Chrysler musclecars, and like to build them stock like they just came out of the factory. Anyway I'm sure glad to be here! Heres the Challenger:
Now before you go thinking this is the Monogram 1:24 Challenger, its actually an old AMT kit that I converted to a T/A from an R/T, I kitbashed the 340 six pack in, decals are from Keith Marks, and the T/A exhaust is scratchbuilt, anyway here it is:

WOW!!!!! Very impressive, especially all the wiring! :bigthumb:
When I was 16, every model I tried to build ended up being messed up in one way or another - I only have one from then that I've kept intact, rather than using for parts... :( 10 years later, my model making still isn't as good as your's....

That looks superb, I can't believe you're only sixteen with that much patience!
I am half way through building the AMT Challenger too and it gives me some inspiration to get mine completed.
Did you find that you had to do a lot of work filling and sanding the roof to make it look vaguely decent because the kit can be built as a convertible? I also filled and sanded the join line that runs from behind the front bumper to the front wheel arch on each side of the car because all photos I have seen of the real car don't appear to have the join.
I also noticed that you managed to do the chrome at the bottom of the rear window where there is not actually a panel line to follow which is really impressive. I finally manged to achieve it by cutting a template of the foil first and then sticking it carefully in the right place, is this what you did?
Sorry to ask all these questions, just wanted to know if you encountered the same difficulties.

Nice! That's a clean build with great paint and detailing inside and out.

No means to disrespect, but here's a little
constructive criticism. I'm somewhat of a
mopar expert, and you have a couple things
that could be fixed if you got the initiative
to do it. 1.) you bolted the hood down. it's
actually only got bolts in the front to keep
the hood down when racing. it opens like an
average car's hood. 2.) I know you kitbashed,
but the tailpipes don't go back that far. they
are short and at an angle. it would slow the
airflow if they bent them back like that. 3.) you're missing this...

4.) if you have white interior, the dash is white, too.

Chrysler altered the tailpipe arrangement on the TA version which Dan has made so that they exited before the rear wheels, the angle looks about right to me. This was done so that their race car could have the same arrangement.
The AMT kit does not have the chrome strip moulded in place below the rear window that appears on the cars with vinyl roofs so it would be very difficult to achieve the correct appearance.
