Hello all! Has anybody lowered there 2002 grandam with eibach springs? If you did could you notice the difference? Im curious since they say its only a 1.25 inch drop. Thats pretty much nothing. Decided to get the springs since i heard that if i were to heat the springs it would be a bad idea. Well it was to late for that since i heated the springs and got the car dropped by 2 inches. Im wondering is 2 inches a big difference from the 1.25? I like the way my car looks now but its just not safe since my springs may break in a few months.

Welcome to AF !

You saying you heated the Eibach springs ??
:shakehead , that was a waste if you did. I hav seen 2" drop- Eibach springs before, cant remember where at the moment...
you should hav just heated your old factory springs, but over time either will break down because the temper was heated out.

And ya its a big differance between the 1.25 and 2" springs.
You get to low and you'll need the camber kit with new shimes so the alignment will be dead on, other wise you might go through some tires.

I havnt done any GAs but on other cars/trucks.
Clearance issues may also arrise from the vehicle being to low and the tires will rub the inner fender well.

Good Luck
