Ok,the deal is my friend has a 91 integra with a stock b18a1 right. The car had its auto tranny replaced and ran for about a week and had 2 rockers or whatever you might call them,in the head break and drop a valve into a cylinder. Whoops. So he finds a b18b1 for 300 bucks, does the swap, car runs for a week and the same thing happens. i dont know what exactly they are called if they are still called rockers on a overhead cam but those keep breaking. 2 engines, same problem within weeks? what is causing this,i've heard maybe the way the tranny/torque converter is bolted,i've heard it could be the timing messed up,i've even heard it could be the ecu?! but anyways i need to know what is causing this problem? we want to get this car fixed but we are stumped. I know its a teg but you guys in the 4th gen site are always very helpful, thanks.

p.s.- just got a digital cam so i should be able to post pics of my 4th gen civic soon, late

My friend, I think you just have a really bad coincidence. It's a mechanical problem...I don't think it's related to the ECU. You sure you're friend hasn't been beating the crap out of his motors? I'm stumped on this one. Let's see some pics.

i think its like bambam said, either you have bad luck with the engines or your friend is beating on it....
