I'm in Chicago...I see people driving the Matrix more now than in it's April release. But it's coming out slower than I had anticipated. It doesn't seem to be a hot item here in Chicago from the looks of it. Although, a lot of people wish they had the car. I got my XRS in April and I'm happy w/ it although it could use an upgrade in Engine performance. Still looking for add-ons. In my opinion, the Matrix doesn't look good in red...no offense to those that do like it in this color. So for those of us that do appreciate the Matrix, I guess this would be the car to get if you're looking for a car that not too many people have. Mine looks similar to the Matrix below except it doesn't have the clear corners and it's not sitting on crome, it on silver. Definately needs to have the under body spoilers. Anyone know if those clear corners are available yet?

I thinking of getting a Celica GT-S or Matrix or RSX Type S.
But I don't know which one to get.
and at my city I don't see many new honda hatchbacks or RSX Type S.
It's all mostly Celica GT-S so I'm thinking either the Matrix or the RSX Type S.
For all the people that drove/have a Matrix please tell me what you think.
Thanks:bloated:

I'm in the San Francisco Bay area... lots of Japanese car owners here. I'm actually starting to see more Matrix' on the road now. I think people had to get used to seeing them first. It's a little boxy, a little high. I think the design inside the car is really great, roomy with lots of headroom, BUT I don't think it's sporty enough, so I thought about getting a Protege 5 instead to replace my old (really old) Integra. I enjoy the hatchback cargo potential (hauling bookcases, TV's, BBQ's, Christmas trees, etc. with ease).
I would like to hear comments about whether the Protege 5 is a better car or not. I know it's not as powerful though.

The protege 5 manual will actually feel like it is faster but when driven properly the Matrix XRS 6spd is faster. Its because all the torque and HP is at the upper end of the rpm spectrum above 6000 rpms. I have heard some people say it doesn make a very good daily driver since you have to revv it up so high to get it movin but it s all in what you want out of a car. I can respect not wantint to rev a car so much around town as a daily driver, but I love my Trix all the same.

between the matrix and the rsx-s?? just get the rsx lol...
and one thing that i have heard about the matrix is that when you drive it, it feals like a mini van but it looks fast... and if it arround the same price range of an rsx i think the rsx looks better and is faster
arent civic hatchbacks a lot cheaper?

The RSX type S is faster but it costs about 5k more than my Matrix did.
