when i got out of my car i saw smoke comming out of the hood. I opened the hood to find out that there was smoke comming from inbetween the back of the engine and the firewall. has anone had any problems like this. i also noticed that there looks like there is a very little amount of fluid sprayed on a few of the hoses back there. Please give me your feed\back thanks.

I think I can help you with that one. we've got the same engine. The same thing you are describing happened to me. The EGR tube gets too close to the hoses attached to the heater core and eventually burns a small spot throught the hose. Your throttle body bypass hose could have also sprung a leak.

found out what it was. i took a closer look at the tubing back there, and i found a source. the high pressure line for the powersteering looked wet at the center of the rubber. i replaced it, which kinda was a pain, and now it doesnt smoke, and power steering is at a constant level. thanks for responses though:)
