My husband as a problem w/his GA he was coming home yesterday had his radio on, everything was fine, it started raining he turned his lights on and they didn't come on and his radio stopped and the cig. lighter which his radar detector was connected stopped working. Everything else seems to be working. He checked the fuses What else could it be?

It sounds like you headlight control module went out. It could be the headlight switch itself, but the control module was a problem on the early year grand am's so that would be my first choice of culprits.

Check if there is current into the cigar liter fuse and radio fuse, if not back track the source of current supply, possible fusible link, or a main fuse if they are controlled like that.
