Hello everyone, i am about to buy a 91 stealth es with 140,000 miles, of course it is the non tt but will anyone help me with this? what should i look for before buying it and what typically goes wrong. is it a bad idea to buy this car with such high miles? and are these cars reliable? also one more thing can these cars be made fast with full bolt ons? i know they are slower without the turbo's but i will try? thank you all!!:grinyes:

Best way to go fast in these cars is FI. It would be cheaper to buy a VR4 instead of trying to do conversion as well. Reliable, well I wouldnt say they were built for reliability but they arent all that bad if well maintained. I'm just blew the motor in mine so mine has not been real reliable. Make sure the 60k and 120k tune ups have been done by checking out the paper work on the work. And obviously drive it and feel for any abnormalities and out of place sounds.

When I bought it had a motor that had been just put in it that was imported from Japan. Turned out to be shitter, what can I say? Mabye FI is the way to go now.
