what years are cross compatible for the spare tire carrier?

I want to replace the tire carrier as my kia used to be my moms and she managed to bend the latch mechanisim on it so right now it is removed. i tried to straighten but no dice and now i am wondering if all sportage 4 door spare tire holders are cross compatible from 94-2002 or is there a certian years that a 2000 will only accept.
