Twin DOHC?
The 4.6L DOHC (double over-head camshaft),
32 valve, has a total of four camshafts.
D.S.S. Inc. (http://www.dssracing.com/46supermod.html)
Also try Kar Kraft Engineering (http://www.karkraft.com/).
They have different engines throughout the year.

Ford makes a 5.0L DOHC aka "Cammer" that will fit the following bodies:
FOX, SN95, S197, CD338 & Panther.
(I know the 5.4L is bigger and will fit)
The engine pushes 400bhp out of the box and comes with a stock 11:1 ratio.
This is simple the best OHC engine Ford makes until you get into quad cams and GT engines but they wont fit any Mustang.
I personally know of a Cammer Mustang that pushes nearly 1300hp. I encourage you to go with a DOHC engine but numbers above 1500hp are simply not financially logical with Mustang compatible DOHC engines.
If you are really serious about getting stupidly high numbers in a DOHC V8 invest in a M62 or something
FOX, SN95, S197, CD338 & Panther.

you seem to be pretty knowedable, i have heard that the 5.0 cammer has serious reliability problems, which is why it has no warranty. do you know if there is any truth to that?
if there is id go with the dohc 4.6 instead
FOX, SN95, S197, CD338 & Panther.

You are an idiot. Engines do not come street legal it is what you do with it that defines a car’s street legality. You could strap a 2000hp engine into a 15lb car and as long as it meets emissions, safety and decibel levels you can drive it anywhere you please.
The reason the 5.0L doesn't come with the standard 12/12 warranty because it is primarily sold as a competition race engine which means it would have to be rebuilt about every other use or so if put under the stress of Indy or competition drag cars, Ford would loose money quickly if they had to warranty an aluminum block for that sort of use.
As far as the engine having problems that is news to me, I considered the engine Ford's second best decision over the past 25 years.

if it doesnt have problems it would indeed be their best engine currently available and a good decision. ive been thinking about it though and the reason i heard it was unrealiable, im not sure if it makes sense. i was told that they used the 4.6 block and bored it out which made for very very thin cylinder walls and that was the root of the problems, but doesnt the 5.4l use the same block also? idk the engine is probably just fine.

I was just quoting what Ford has stated in their FRPP catalog.
No need for name calling. :thefinger

http://www.dssracing.com/ <-- stick with something reasonable. the frpp 'cammer' was what 10 grand or something last i checked. why? they may mention it is not street legal because the engine won't pass emissions standards no matter what exhaust you put on it to try to clean it up. what harness would you use to get it to work in your car? do they come with a harness?

Its actually 14 grand now, it comes with a computer test kit and you can get a harness to fit most mustang years. :-p
As far as emission? I live in Texas so no worry for me.
