they will fit, but like you said you wont be able to make your seatbelts work right.

90civicrider, the late 89's that didnt sell that year were then sold as 90's. Kinda rare.

I have a 1990 Civic from Canada and it has seatbelts on the door.
Sticker under the hood says Canada MFG.
I even checked its history, and it came from canada.

98% sure its a DX(no model letters on back hatch). It had a D15b1 with a 4spd Manual. But now it has a 5spd Manual with D15b2 that I put in.

the ONLY 4th gens that had seatbelts in the doors were the USDM 89-91 vehicles. If it was made in Canada but sold to the US market, it had seatbelts in the doors, unless it was an 88. The 1988 4th gens is the only year that none of them had seatbelts in the doors, regardless of where it was made.

Trust me, it's fun trying to find Si panels for my 1988 crx...no luck yet, at least not any good condition sets.

If it is an 89 and was made in canada, AND has seatbelts in the door, then it wasn't originally sold in the U.S. Period.

close..

USDM
88-89 civic hatchs and 88 crx had pillar mounted
90-91 civic hatchs and 89-91 crx's had door mounted.

Canada
88-91 all had pillar mounted

I stand corrected. I apologize.
It's my turn to correct you now....lol.
89 CRX HF's also had them mounted on the pillar and not on the door.

So let's put it this way...it will be easier to understand:
The ONLY 88-91 EF's that had door mounted seatbelts in the WORLD were
the USDM 89-91 crx dx/si
the USDM 90-91 crx HF
the USDM 90-91 civic
