gsr vs. spec V

i just want to get feedback from u guys, don't start flaming or nothing, i'm just wondering......

stock gsr bs. stock se-r spec v?

I haven't ridden in a Spec V... I have gone for a ride in a GSR with an intake... it had no power until it hit vtec... then it was pretty quick... I bet it would be a good race... especially if the GSR driver was good :)

i've raced an integra b4 but i wasn't sure if it was a gsr cuz he changed his rims, he had exhaust and some other mods, but it was a close race, we were even until i hit 3rd, then i pulled away...it must have been a gsr though, the spec v would blow a modded ls away

I beg to differ. I have a 94 Teg Rs and have beaten the new Sentra Spec V's. I've ran 2 of them. They are pretty quick. I'm not saying there not a fast car. Just saying that a non vtec with little mods can beat one.. :D

i disagree with u, i beat my friend's LS all the time, we race every week, every new mod he has.....he's got:
CAI, headers, exhaust, and cam gears

And if i race your friend guarentee that i beat him too. I always beat 1.8 non vtecs with intake headers and exhaust.. I know its kinga hard to believe but i'ma try to scann my timeslip to prove. I run the quarter in 15.5 @ 87 mph. My fastest mph is 90 so i'm guess i had a little wheel spin or something that run. I dunno. But lets just say i got one more thing than just an intake. The head is also milled.

i mean i smoke them, by really smoking them.....as in can't see them in my rear view mirror.....

that's a good time running 15.5 for ur car good job man!

as for me i run 15.2, but then again that's expected, u gotta rs integ and they're expected to run more than a second for ur time, that's good man

do u got the vtec head or something?

naw no vtec.. just a milled head and AEM intake. everything else on the car is stock. stock exhaust, headers, etc.

I have raced a 2002 Spec V wit mah 2000 GSR and i smoked it by 3 cars and all i have is AEM intake and Apexi' N1 Exhaust. and the Spec V was stock. that guy was pretty confident and he still is confident that he will beat me to he challenged me again so i took it.

Are you really running 14s with only an intake and exhaust? Thats pretty insane if you are...

My friend's GSR has cams, cam gears, and an intake and his doesnt even feel that fast

what is a milled head?

Well, the SE-R gets the better start b/c of all its low-end torque; but once the VTEC hits 7k+, VROOM!:D

Well your friend dose not know how top drive then. The best time I have personaly seen a ser run at the track is a 15.04 and it had I/H/E and a straight pipe. I have beaten all the ser's down there. Only one beat me with out me using the N2o. I'm sorry but a gsr will own your ser if the driver knows what they are doing!

gsr w/ a good driver is tough to beat...but then again if ur talkin bout that so is an ls. the ls would keep up w/ the gsr all through 1st an 2nd gears. i've had a guy whos basically same driving skills as me pull 1st, half of 2nd, then lose in 3rd in his ls. a gsr w/ a couple mod's an a good driver, can break into 14's w/ the rite conditions (45-50 degrees, dry pavement, sea level, good tires etc...) im hopin to get high 14's w/ my set-up an a stripped interior.

high, maybe even mid 14's on a i/h/e gsr, yes. 14 flat on only intake+exhaust, no. scan a few slips and prove me wrong.

milling=shaving material off head to reduce size of combustion chamber and consequently raise compression. this can cause valve clearance problems and therefore is not reccomended.

nope...gsr has no torque (like most hondas). 128 in the gsr, compared to 180 in the spec V.

i have 1999 gsr wit the aem v2 intake and a friend of my has a the spec-v wit the hot shot cold air intake and i been smokin him ever time gsr is sick out the hole and as is the spec-v but spec-v is dead on top end

my friend has a ser spec-v and those are supposed to run about a 15.1-15.2 stock and he has i/h/e. i have a gsr with rims, lowered and exhaust and i think he and i would be a good race

Now that is a load of crock. 3 cars? lol. Either the 02 spec driver couldnt shift or you are telling a flat out lie.

3 cars = almost 3 tenths of a second. or 30whp. Im sorry your not that much faster even if you have those mods.

Dont get me wrong though. You could have beaten him by 3 cars but then i promise you he mis-shifted. ;)

i have a gs-R and damn they are fast btw way at the time my teg was stock well anyways i won by maybe1/4 of a car seriously his headlights were like at my front tires anyways the guy is my english teacher and he always talked smack on my dc2 so i challenged him but i was only playing but he excepted.lucky me!

i driven a modded spec v b4 w/ i,e,h,and afc, got to give it to them they are pretty quick. it felt like a lo 15 hi 14 sec car, but again, their displacement is greatly bigger in comaprison.
