97 Caravan fan puzzler

I have a 97 Caravan with a 3.3L engine. A couple of weeks ago my service engine soon light came on and it tried to overheat. Upon inspection, we discovered the fans were not coming on. We replaced the thermostat and the thermostat sensor but that did not help. We checked the relays in the fuse box under the hood and they were fine. We then replaced the fan control module and the problem seemed fixed. The check engine light went off and the fans worked. 4 days later, the engine light came back on and the fans went out again. This time we took it to the shop. They said the fan motors were going bad and to replace the fans, which we did. The engine light went off and the fans worked. Now a week has passed and the engine light is on again and the fans are not working again. I am not sure where to go from here. To summarize, the thermostat, thermostat sensor, fan control module, and fans have all been replaced; the relays in the fuse box checked out fine. Any help on where to look next is appreciated. THANKS!

Did you replace the radiator fan relay , not the ones in the fuse box. This is a separate relay usually mounted underneath the air filter . These have a history of failing and there was even a recall on this item , check to see if this recall affects you.
