Step on brakes, trunk unlocks. '99 Intrepid

In my 99 Intrepid, every time I step on the brakes, the trunk release engages and opens it up. As well, when I hit the trunk unlock button inside the car, the brake lights come on. I had it looked at and they didnt find anything. I was told he had seen it before, but couldn't remember what the problem had been. He said it was something stupid. Both fuse boxes were check as well as all of the wiring in the trunk. Can anybody help me with this?

Question do you have an auto start or security box under the dash, might need to be removed or re-programed.
