"...If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!..."
Well,
I installed the new ball joints after pounding out the old rivets on both sides.
Boy what a job! Used about five different drill sizes and a drift to remove them.
The new joints are TRW. Unfortunately TRW's tech support sucks and therein lies my problem.
I tried to pack the ball joints after installation.
However, the grease started oozing out of what looked like weeping holes in the very bottom of
the joint on the outer edges of the steel cap in the casting.
Without a reference, I don't know if this is normal or if both joints are defective.
Any ideas?

Normal condition, just be careful not to add too much as it will cause premature failure.
