Reusable oil filter

I remember someone mentioning re-usable oil filters back in the "products to use" thread, but not finding them readily available at the time they slipped my mind. Has anyone had experience with these since?

I spent the money once on a K&N reusable oil filter, it was junk, get a wix filter.

If they did make one it would cost more to clean it than you would save.:grinyes: :lol:
A gallon of cleaning solvent 2.95 plus cost of Disposal of cleaning solvent and old oil and dirt and a 1/2hr labor time to clean .
Be a lot cheaper to buy a good new OEM type oil filter 2.50-5.50$ US
They also had a oil filter kit out 35-40 years ago that used a roll of good old rear end wiping paper.:rofl:

you dont meant reusable AIR filter by chance do you? Ive never heard of reusable oil filters...that doesnt mean that they dont exist tho...ive just never heard of them...show me more about them

i wouldn't want a reusable oil filter i'd rather have the peace of mind knowing my oil filter gets replaced every 3k with a new one

Washable filters also do no handle particulates suspended in oil very well. Anything over 20 microns will junk the bearings and valvetrain in these trucks....most metal mesh re-washables are capable of merely 25 microns or so - from what I read elsewhere. It would not trust them but in the application they were made for - racing, and a race car's engine is a consumable item in the world of racing. I know that my engine is NOT on the list of consumables. :D
