BIG technical question! Please help!

Yes...I'm the kid with the 84 sentra. Ok, lately my car has been running just the same as ever EXCEPT, for some reason it quits. It'll be going right along at about 25 or even more and it just stops. My dad thinks its the coil or something with the distributor. Anybody got any ideas about this? We just put in a new battery. Thanks.

just shuts off like you turned the key or does it stutter and shut off, or...

it just quits. no noise, no anything. just, quits and coasts to a stop.
