Need Painting HELP!

i painted my type r grill but got too much clear coat on one spot so i decided to wipe it off.. bad idea.... i left a great big smudge on it.. so i decided to sand it down back to the plastic.. now there is a huge hole in the paint that i am trying to cover up but it doesnt' seem to be workin? is my only solution to sand the entire grill back to the plastic and do it all over again????? any help??? thanks

LOL, that story sounds familiar:D . I had the exact same thing when painting my grille. And I did exactly the things you did.:p . After my second try (and it didn't came out great) I took it to a professional painter and I think in the end (if you see what time you put in it, price for materials and stuff) it's not so much more expensive...

But if you want to do it yourself, sand it down completely, otherwise I wouldn't look good.

thanks..i thought i was alone on this one..hehe.. well maybe i'll just drive around with it for a while.. let it get beat up and try my luck again in a couple of months.. by the way .how much was it to get it professionally done?

This depends on where you go. If you check out different places you'll get a lot off different prices. Mine was a little less then 50$.

wow, 50 bucks just to paint a grill? i neverk new it was so damn expensive, i mean, i paint my own stuff anyways, if i knew i could get thatm uch money for something so little i should open my own shop.

yeh $50 is a little too much for me considering i only spent 35 on the grill itself... i am just gonna put it on and prays no one notices.. by the way.. how do i post pics on these forums so that i can post pics of my disasterous grill?
