Ok, so I am headed over to school this morning and RIGHT before I get there I realise that I wasnt in the left turn lane and I needed to turn to get to school. So I kind of made a turn from the right lane when the arrow happened to be red. Well, A cop was RIGHT there and didnt like that too much so he pulled me over. My court date is sometime in september, I dunno what the ticket will cost and then on top of whatever that is I gotta pay $25 for traffic school so the insurance doesent find out about it. He was being a bitch too, he was like "you go to heald college, you come out here everyday." So anyway, I wonder what my parents are gonna say:( At least they cant take away my car cause I gotta get to school every day.

What do you guys think the ticket will cost? He cited me for doing a left turn on a red arrow, but he didnt bag me for the illegal lane change.

I am 18, and i bought my car, and isure my car is under my parents names so the insuance is cheaper! Its like almost HALF because its under their name, but i have a price to pay though, they said since i am under their name, if i get into an accident, or a lot of tickets, their insurance will go up, and they use the, "We'll take the car away from you" crap but I have to go to school everyday also, so there is not much they can do..... unless they make me like take a bus..... hmmm, New York Bus's............ Man, i'll be giving the bully on the bus my luch money every day!!!

Me and my dad are co-owners of the car to make it cheaper on the insurance. Also my dad pays insurance and some maintence, so yes, he has the ability to take it away (although I doubt he'd do so)

words of wisdom: dont drive like a dumbass. the people who are late and just have to make that illegal turn are the same people who just dont happen to see that car that they just swerved into. if i was your parents i would take your car for good until you learned how to drive.

Melt,

I had a similar situation happen to me this year. I go to school and commute to another University so I can conduct genetics research. Well I turned left at an intersection on the way to the on ramp of I-94, the cop said it was red when i got through, I said it was yellow...long story short I had to pay $175 got 2 points for my first brush with the traffic cops. First time ever being pulled over and it nearly doubled my insurance to about $200/month. Hope you can get away with the traffic school option and lose a mere $25 on that.

I'm 17 and live at home.
I bought 100% of my car, and pay 100% of insurance. My insurance is $210.00canadian per month.. yeah thes right PER MONTH.

Paying for all that and then for mods is a little tough, i'm workin my ass off most of the time to pay for things. But it's all good!

Kids that drive a nice car that the parents have bought, and souped up, kinda pisses me off. they are all like "My car is better" then i'm like shut-up it's your parents car, then walk away!
