tranny fluid in radiator

Hi, I'm new here
recently been haveing low fluid in radiator, thought I found a leak in the hoses going to the tranny.
replaced them this am, and the radiator seems to have tranny fluid in it
how screwed am I?
is this just a radiator problem or do I have a rad/ tranny problem?
don't want to spend a alot on this van , gonna junk it soon as I finish getting my '73 road runner rebuilt

The two little hoses going to transmission are supposed to have tranny fluid in them.
The two big hoses going to the engine are supposed to have radiator fluid in them.
I think you are screwed up.

Dude put the hose back on and if you should have a leak I would say take it to a garage. I will not bash you but before you go tearing into anything you should get a haynes manual and read it. They do have automotive classes that you can take to educate yourself. There is absolutely no way you can get tranny fluid into your radiator. You probably took off a tranny cooling line to your transmission radiator. That is not the same as your engine coolant and radiator system. If you are losing water that is normal as long as it's like every 3000 miles and such. If it's everyday then you are losing it somewhere and should have your system pressure tested. you may have a leaky hose, radiator or faulty cap. You will lose water through evaporation. Make sure you are running 50% water/coolant mix. You can buy it premixed at walmart ready to go.

Been there done that....
Seems like the tranny cooler tube INSIDE the radiator was leaking (only under pressure, thus tranny fluid filling radiator, and not leaking INTO the tranny (which would kill it instantly!))
You will have to replace the radiator...there is no two ways about it
We are in Houston and managed to get a $140 one
P.S. DONT PUT DEX-III IN IT! (I just found this!)
